About Shivala Teja Singh temple

Located approximately 100 kilometers from Lahore in Sialkot, this temple stands as a landmark of Hindu heritage in Pakistan. The structure features classical Saivite architectural elements including a distinctive long spire over the sanctum and an aesthetically inscribed courtyard. Stone carvings adorning the walls depict scenes related to Lord Shiva, and the sanctum also houses idols representing other members of the Hindu trinity. Though referenced in ancient Puranic texts, historical records indicate construction around the 11th century CE. The temple endured 72 years of closure due to Indo-Pakistani tensions but was restored and reopened through the efforts of Pakistan's Evacuee Trust Property Board, particularly following the Kartarpur Corridor initiative.
