The Nallur Sundara Varadharaja Perumal Temple stands as a significant Vaishnava place of worship in the Nallur neighbourhood of Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. The presiding deity, Lord Sundara Varadaraja Perumal, is carved from a single stone and stands in the sanctum sanctorum holding a discus, conch, and staff. A distinctive feature of this temple is the placement of Garuda, the eagle vehicle of Lord Vishnu, positioned at the deity's feet in a worshipping posture—a rare architectural arrangement found in only a few temples.
