Wangath temple complex

The temple complex is open to visitors during daylight hours. From April to October, access is available from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. During the winter months of November to March, visiting hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. April through October offers the most favorable weather and visibility for exploring the site.

Wangath lies near Naranag in Ganderbal district, approximately 77 kilometers northeast of Srinagar in the Himalayan foothills. The nearest airport is Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport in Srinagar, roughly 80 kilometers away. From Srinagar, visitors can reach the site by hiring a taxi or using local bus services. Comfortable walking shoes are essential, as the terrain is uneven and the site remains partially ruined.
