About the temple

Raghunath Temple in Srinagar is a historic Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Rama, constructed between 1835 and 1860 under Maharaja Gulab Singh and completed by Maharaja Ranbir Singh. The temple was abandoned following the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus but is currently undergoing restoration. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
