Sawariya Seth Temple

The temple was established in 1840 and stands in Sanwaliya Ji, Mandfiya, in Chittorgarh District. What distinguishes this site is not merely its age but specific physical features. The Bhadsoda location houses what is described as the largest murti of Sawariya Seth, standing 24 inches in height. Most remarkably, the deity's chest bears a footprint—traditionally understood to be that of Bhrigu Rishi, the sage who, according to Hindu mythology, tested Vishnu's forbearance by striking his chest. This marking is presented as unique in the world as a sculptural representation of this encounter between sage and deity. A golden-inlaid kalash was installed atop the temple's spire in February 2011.
