About Sawariya Seth Temple

Sawariya Seth Temple, also known as Sanwaliya Ji Temple or Shri Sanwaliya Seth, stands as a significant pilgrimage destination in the Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan. The temple's origins trace to 1840 when a cowherd named Bholaram discovered three beautiful idols of Lord Krishna buried underground at Chhapar in Bagund village after dreaming of their location. These idols were subsequently installed at three separate temples within approximately five kilometers of each other, with one at Mandphia village where the main temple now stands. The shrine holds considerable religious importance for followers of the Vaishnav sect, ranking as the second most significant pilgrimage site after Shri Nathdwara. Devotees from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat regularly visit to perform darshan and participate in daily rituals. The temple maintains a structured daily schedule with morning and evening darshan sessions, multiple aartis, and rest periods for the deity.
