About Rimbi Temple
Rimbi Temple stands as a significant historical monument from the Majapahit period, constructed during the 14th century in honour of Queen Tribhuwana Wijayatunggadewi. The temple was lost to time until its rediscovery in the 19th century. Though partially collapsed, the surviving portion rises to a height of 12 metres and showcases the architectural sophistication of its era through a three-tiered base adorned with 51 detailed reliefs, along with several sculptural elements. The temple's cultural importance was formally recognized when it was designated a Cultural Property of Indonesia in 2020.
