Located in the village of Tiruppoonturutti near Tiruvaiyaru in Thanjavur district, this temple derives its name from its geographical position between the Cauvery and Kudamurutti rivers. The complex features a five-tiered east-facing Rajagopuram leading into multiple precincts, with the inner sanctum housing the lingam representation of Pushpavananathar.
