About Harsiddhi Devi Mandir, Rangir

Located on the banks of the Dehar River approximately 20 kilometers from Rehli, Harsiddhi Devi Mandir stands as one of the 52 Shaktipeeths dedicated to Devi Harsiddhi. The temple holds significant historical importance, having witnessed the battle between Maharaja Chhatrasal and Mughal Faujdar Khaliq of Dhamoni, and served as headquarters for Maratha Subedar Govindrao Pandit. According to local belief, the place derives its name Rangir from the Sanskrit word for the goddess's raan (thigh) that fell here. The temple is renowned for its spiritual atmosphere and the belief that the goddess manifests in three forms daily—as a child at dawn, a young girl at midday, and an elderly woman in the evening. Major fairs are held during Ashwin and Chaitra months, with the Chaitra fair drawing thousands of pilgrims seeking blessings and fulfillment of wishes.
