Chettikulangara Devi Temple

According to temple tradition, Chettikulangara Devi Temple was consecrated in 823 AD, with accounts crediting Padmapadacharyar, a principal disciple of Adi Shankara, with the installation. The consecration is said to have occurred on the Uthrittathi day of the Malayalam month Makara. While historical documentation supporting this account remains limited, the temple's antiquity is widely acknowledged, with some estimates placing its origins at over 1200 years in the past.
