Bisaldeo temple, also known as Bisaldev temple or Bisal Deoji's temple, is a significant Hindu shrine located in Bisalpur, Rajasthan, positioned adjacent to the Bisalpur Dam on the Banas River in Tonk district. The temple is dedicated to Gokarneshvara, a manifestation of Shiva, and was commissioned by the 12th-century Chahamana ruler Vigraharaja IV, who was also known as Bisal Deo. The town of Bisalpur itself was established by this same king and was formerly known as Vigrahapura. The Archaeological Survey of India has recognized the structure as a Monument of National Importance and has undertaken restoration efforts. The architectural composition includes a sanctum housing a linga, a tower, a vestibule, a square hall with a hemispherical dome, and a portico, measuring approximately 22.2 by 15.3 metres. Prior to the construction of the Bisalpur Dam in the 1990s, the temple occupied a hilltop overlooking the confluence of the Banas and Dai rivers; the courtyard now becomes partially submerged when water levels rise.
