Agastheeswarar Temple stands as a testament to centuries of spiritual devotion and architectural heritage. The presiding deity is Agastheeswarar, a Swayambhu lingam, accompanied by Goddess Anandavalli whose idol is crafted from emerald stone. The temple features a distinctive round-shaped phallus (Avudayar) rather than the traditional leaf-shaped design, and is designed according to Kamika and Karana Agama rules. The sanctum sanctorum is oriented eastward, while the goddess faces south in a standing posture. The temple complex houses additional shrines dedicated to Vinayaka, Muruga with consorts Valli and Deivanai, Lord Bhairava, the Navagrahas, and Sani Bhagwan. The newly constructed Rajagopuram displays three tiers with intricate sculptures depicting various deities and mythological narratives.
