This ancient temple represents a remarkable synthesis of architectural styles spanning three dynasties. The Garbhagriha and tower showcase rare Chalukya sculptural work carved from dark blue stone, while the Garuda Stamba and Ranga Mantap display Hoysala design principles, and the main entrance reflects Vijayanagara artistry. The central sanctum houses an intricately adorned image of Veeranarayana in Abhayahasta pose, flanked by Lakshmi and Garuda, with the Dashavathara depicted at the base. The temple's numerous pillars feature elaborate artistic carvings throughout the Madhyaranga and Garbhagudi. Managed by Madhva Brahmin priests, the temple draws devotees daily and experiences heightened spiritual activity during evening rituals and major festivals including Navaratri.
