About Valmiki Temple

Valmiki Temple, also known as Nila Gumbad Valmiki Temple, is situated on Bhim Street within the Neela Gumbad locality of Anarkali Bazar in Lahore, Pakistan. The temple is dedicated to Valmiki, the revered Hindu sage and author of the Ramayana. The shrine is managed and maintained collaboratively by the Pakistan Hindu Council and the Evacuee Trust Property Board, reflecting the shared responsibility for preserving Hindu heritage in the region. In modern times, this temple holds particular significance as it remains one of only two operational Hindu temples serving the devotional needs of Lahore's Hindu community, the other being the Krishna Temple.
