About Sri Gayathri Devi Temple
Located on Subedhar Chatram Road in Yeswanthpur, this temple was founded by His Holiness Chidambara Dikshit and established in 1992. The primary shrine honors Goddess Gayathri Devi, also revered as Veda Matha, while additional sanctums house deities including Dhanvanthri, Maha Vishnu, Agastheeswarar, Bhakta Anjaneyar, Murugan, and Panchamukha Ganapathi. The temple contains numerous Shivalingas guarded by Lord Nagarajan, Nag Devthas, and an exclusive Navagraha Sannidhi. The large yaaga mandapam serves as a focal point for rituals and ceremonies. Devotees visit throughout the day for darshan and aarti, with special pujas performed during Dussehra, Sankadahara Chathurthi, and new and full moon days.
