Sri Ayyappa
About Sri Ayyappa
Located near Bannerghatta Road in Gottigere, this Hindu temple spreads devotion, harmony, and cultural values through traditional Ayyappa rituals in a serene setting for prayer, meditation, and community gatherings. The temple was constructed following a collaborative effort by Ayyappa devotees who sought a dedicated place for worship and bhajana. The idol was installed on November 14, 2003, by Dr. Shree RS Varada Raja Swami. The temple serves as a spiritual anchor for Ayyappa devotees across Bangalore and Karnataka, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed. The site holds historical significance, believed to be located in Gottigere (Dhandakaranya), through which Lord Rama and Lord Lakshman traveled during their journey to Lanka in search of Sita Matha.
