Sharadamba Temple in Sringeri is the principal shrine of the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, one of four cardinal monasteries established by Adi Shankara in the 8th century. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
