About Shree Kutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple (Bolton)
Shree Kutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple Bolton holds the distinction of being the first orthodox purpose-built Swaminarayan mandir in both the United Kingdom and Europe. Originally established in 1973, the temple was formally registered under the Place of Worship Act on 6 September 1973. Sacred murtis specially prepared from the head temple in Bhuj were installed on 6 September 1975. The original structure, which replaced a labour club and terraced houses, was demolished and rebuilt in 1993 to create the current three-storied edifice. The temple operates under the spiritual authority of Shree Nar-Narayan Dev Temple in Bhuj, Kutch, India.
