Sat Math (Bangladesh)
About Sat Math (Bangladesh)
Sat Math stands as one of the oldest temples and monasteries in Feni District, Bangladesh. The complex was established on eight acres near Satbari Road in West Chhagalnaiya village, originally serving as the residence and spiritual center of zamindar Binod Bihari of Chhagalnaiya. The site derives its name from the seven cremation temples (sat mandir) adjacent to the main house, also known as Rajbari or Sat Math. Following the zamindar's departure to Kolkata around 1948, the property transitioned into community use, with local residents now inhabiting the grounds. The structure is recognized as a listed historical monument under the Department of Archaeology of Bangladesh.
