Saraswati Gyan Mandir
About Saraswati Gyan Mandir
Located adjacent to Gate No. 2 of the University of Chittagong, Saraswati Gyan Mandir was established to provide a permanent place of worship for Hindu students and faculty. The university administration allocated the land in 2011 following requests from the Sanatan Dharma Parishad, an organization formed by teachers, students, and officials. The proposal received syndicate approval in 2012, and construction commenced with the foundation stone laying on 4 February 2019 on approximately 20,000 square feet of land. The main structure was fully financed by the Adul-Anita Foundation. The temple was consecrated and inaugurated on 20 April 2026, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, marking a significant milestone for Hindu religious observance on campus.
