Kunjal Mata Temple

According to accounts preserved in the community, the deity emerged from circumstances involving a wedding where two families brought marriage proposals simultaneously. To prevent conflict between the families and protect her own household from shame, the goddess is said to have merged into the earth. Her brother attempted to save her but could only grasp her dupatta (scarf) as she disappeared into the ground. From that moment, she has been venerated as Kunjal Mata.

The temple itself evolved from its earliest form. Local accounts describe that it originally consisted of a stone platform constructed by villagers, which was later developed into the temple structure that stands today.
