Beyond the main sanctum, the temple contains multiple subsidiary shrines. Vinayaka is worshipped here as Siddhi Vinayaka. Outside the temple, opposite the main structure, lies the Amrutha Theertham—a sacred spring where devotees perform ritual bathing. On the bank of this theertham stands a shrine to Aadhi Gajanathar, positioned such that its vimana (tower) is visible from within the main shrine. Lord Muruga is honored as Gunavayil Kumaran in a shrine within the temple's prakara (outer courtyard), and this form was praised by Saint Arunagiriar in his Tirupugazh hymns.

The temple also houses shrines dedicated to Idumban, two forms of Bhairava, representations of the Sun and Moon in both seated and standing postures, Sage Soodha, four Shaivite saints including Sundarar (depicted with Paravai Nachiar), and goddesses including Saraswathi, Gajalakshmi, and the Saptha Mathas. Masi Magam, observed in February or March, is particularly significant: on this day, five deities—Lord Koneswarar, Mother Perianayaki, Vinayaka, Muruga, and Chandikeswara—process to the Amrutha Theertham for the Theerthavari festival. Other major observances include Panguni Uthiram (March-April), Vaikasi Visakam (May-June), Navarathri (September-October), Skanda Sashti (October-November), and Tiruvadhirai (December-January).

Panguni Uthiram holds special astronomical significance: for three consecutive days during this festival, sunrays fall directly upon the deity within the sanctum—a phenomenon that draws devotees seeking this rare darshan. This celestial alignment is considered an auspicious time for worship and is among the best periods to visit the temple.
