About Idana Mata Temple

Located in Bambora village approximately 60 kilometers from Udaipur city in Rajasthan, Idana Mata Temple stands as an open-air shrine dedicated to the Divine Mother Idana. The temple's most distinctive feature is the miraculous 'Agni Snan' or fire bath, wherein flames spontaneously envelop the idol multiple times per month without human intervention. Devotees report that offerings such as threads and cloth presented to the goddess are consumed by these celestial flames, which can reach heights of 10 to 20 feet. The temple is also revered for its healing properties, particularly among devotees suffering from paralysis who spend nights in the temple seeking the mother's blessings. An eternal flame, the Akhand Jyoti, continuously burns within the temple premises. The deity resides on an open platform opposite an ancient banyan tree, and the temple maintains round-the-clock accessibility to devotees.
