About Hindu Temple and Cultural Center of the Rockies
Located in Centennial, Colorado, the Hindu Temple and Cultural Center of the Rockies represents a significant spiritual and cultural hub for the Hindu community in the Denver metropolitan area. The temple's history spans several decades, beginning with the incorporation of the Hindu Society of Colorado in 1984. From 1996 to 2015, the community worshipped in a converted church building in Littleton before moving to its formally designed temple facility. The temple was officially inaugurated on July 3, 2015, following the sacred Prana Pratishtha ceremony conducted from June 5–7, 2015. Operating as a non-regional and non-sectarian institution, the temple has grown substantially, reaching a membership of 1,500 families by 2011. The facility maintains regular hours for devotees and offers various spiritual, cultural, and educational programs.
