About the temple

The Ekalavya temple in Khandsa village, Gurugram, is the world's only Hindu shrine dedicated to the legendary archer Ekalavya from the Mahabharata. Built at the sacred spot where Ekalavya severed his thumb as guru dakshina to Drona, it honors this exemplary disciple's devotion. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
