About the temple

Daunne Devi Temple is a Hindu shrine dedicated to Durga and Shiva, situated at 1033 meters elevation in Nawalparasi district along the Bardaghat-Dumkibas route. The temple draws pilgrims especially during Shrawan month and is believed to have been established by Jung Bahadur Rana. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
