Brahmeshwar Temple, located near Tankapani Road in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, stands as a significant example of medieval Hindu temple architecture. Commissioned by Queen Kolavati Devi in 1058 CE during the reign of Somavamshi king Udyotakesari, the temple blends Lingaya and Kalinga architectural traditions with remarkable artistic detail. The shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva and features terrifying iconographic representations of Shiva and Chamunda, reflecting the temple's historical association with Tantric practices.
