About the temple

Baneswara Temple is an ancient Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in Puruna Balasore on the banks of the Budhabalanga river. One of the oldest temples in Balasore, it features a modern concrete structure with a sanctum housing a Shiva Linga. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
