About the temple

Vettikulangara Devi Temple in Cheppad is one of Kerala's oldest temples, dedicated to Durga Devi, also known as Karthiyayini Devi. The temple's origin traces to a sacred idol that fell into a pond and was later discovered by the Naluveettil family. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
