Situated approximately 13 kilometers north of Gandhinagar district headquarters and 40 kilometers from Ahmedabad in Gujarat, Vardayini Mata Temple serves as a significant pilgrimage destination attracting devotees seeking blessings for families and children. The shrine is distinguished by its ornate golden door and is particularly celebrated for the unique Palli Rath festival observed on Aaso Sud Navmi, the ninth day of Navratri. During this festival, a wooden chariot constructed from khijada wood and standing approximately 8 to 9 feet in height is ceremonially carried through 27 designated stops throughout the village, with devotees pouring substantial quantities of pure ghee onto the chariot as it progresses.
