Suryanar Kovil is a historic Hindu temple dedicated to Surya, the Sun God, and is the only temple in Tamil Nadu housing shrines for all nine planetary deities (Navagrahas) within a single complex. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
