About the temple
Sri Poyatha Moorthi Temple is the oldest existing Hindu temple in Malaysia and one of the oldest functioning Hindu temples in Maritime Southeast Asia, dedicated to Lord Ganesha and representing one of the few remaining Chitty temples in the country. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
