Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Yadagirigutta
About Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Yadagirigutta
Located on a hillock approximately 60 kilometers from Hyderabad in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana, this temple is renowned as Telangana's equivalent to the famous Tirupati temple. According to mythological accounts, the temple originated when the sage Yadarishi performed penance in a cave on the hill during the Treta Yuga, and Lord Narasimha appeared before him in five distinct forms: Sri Jwala Narasimha, Sri Yogananda, Sri Gandabherunda, Sri Ugra, and Sri Lakshmi Narasimha. These five manifestations, collectively known as Pancha Narasimha Kshetram, are presently worshipped within the temple complex. The site is characterized by its pleasant climate and unique hillock setting, serving as a major spiritual destination where devotees perform various rituals including saswata pujas, kalyanam ceremonies, Laksha Tulasi pujas, and abhisekams.
