About the temple

Sree Poornathrayeesa Temple in Thrippunithura, Kochi, is one of Kerala's greatest temples and the foremost royal temple of the erstwhile Kingdom of Cochin. The presiding deity is Lord Vishnu in the form of Santhanagopala Murthy, worshipped in a unique seated posture beneath the five hoods of Ananthan. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
