About Shantanu Bihari Temple
Located in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, Shri Banke Bihari Temple was established in the 19th century and enshrines an image of Banke Bihari Ji, the childlike form of Lord Krishna. According to temple tradition, this black charming idol was divinely granted to Swami Haridas (born 1535 Vikrami/1478 A.D.) by Shyama-Shyam themselves at Nidhivan. The temple attracts thousands of devotees daily, particularly during major festivals like Holi, Janmashtami, Radhashtami, and Sharad Purnima.
