The main aarti, known as Uchcha Pooja, takes place at 12:30 p.m. Afternoon hours vary by day: on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, the temple reopens at 12:30 p.m., while on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday it reopens at 1:45 p.m. Both schedules close at 5:00 p.m. The evening aarti, Athaazha Pooja, occurs at 8:00 p.m., after which the temple closes for the night.
Women's access follows specific guidelines: entry is permitted from 5:00 a.m. to noon and again from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Those wishing to perform the Muttarukkal offering (a particular form of worship) may do so from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The temple offers online booking for both single-day and multi-day poojas, allowing devotees to arrange personalized worship in advance.
Festivals and Sacred Seasons

Mandalapooja, an extended ritual observance, runs from the first of Vrischika month through the tenth of Dhanu month (November–December), with Thrikarthika also observed during Vrischika month. Additionally, Ilam Nira takes place during the bright fortnight of Karkidakam (June–July), and Thotam, a special evening worship, runs for forty days beginning in Karkidakam. The temple also celebrates its renovation anniversary on the Anizhamnakshatram day in Edava month (July–August).
