Nagvasuki Temple stands as a sacred shrine on the western bank of the Ganga at Daraganj, Prayagraj, dedicated to Vasuki, the divine king of serpents. The sanctum contains a revered black stone idol of Lord Vasuki adorned with five majestic hoods and four coils, symbolizing hope, protection, and spiritual awakening. The temple also houses shrines to other deities including Shiva, Ganesh, Parvati, and Bhishma Pitamah, making it unique as the only place where Bhishma Pitamah is worshipped. According to legend, when Aurangzeb attempted to demolish the temple, his sword became stuck in the idol and a divine manifestation of Lord Nagvasuki appeared, causing him to flee in fear. The temple is believed to be the earthly manifestation of Bhogavati, the mythical abode of Vasuki, and devotees visit to eliminate Kaal Sarp Dosh through worship and ritual.
