About the temple

Lodheshwar Mahadev Temple is an ancient Shiva shrine in Mahadeva village, Barabanki district, Uttar Pradesh, housing one of the rarest Shivlings among the 52 Shakti Peethas of India. According to local tradition, the temple was established when a Brahmin named Lodheram discovered the sacred Shivling while digging a pit in his field. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
