Kottiyoor Temple is an ancient Shiva shrine in Kannur, Kerala, situated in the Sahya mountain valley near the Bavali river. Also known as Vadakkeshwaram Temple and Thruchherumana Kshetram, it functions as two distinct worship zones—Ikkare for year-round darshan and Akkare during the annual Vaisakha Maholsavam festival. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
