About Kalyana Varadharaja Perumal Temple

Located in the Kaladipettai area of Tiruvottriyur, Chennai, this ancient temple enshrines Kalyana Varadaraja Perumal as its primary deity, with the consort Perundevi Thayar gracing a separate shrine to the left of the sanctum. The temple follows the Vaikanasam agama tradition and features a Tridala-designed vimana. The presiding deity is venerated for bestowing wedding blessings and resolving matrimonial challenges. The temple complex includes shrines for Lord Rama, Mother Andal, Hanuman, and Chakrathalwar, along with a dedicated Navagraha shrine where all nine planets are installed on a lotus-petal-designed platform. Major festivals include the Panguni Uthiram wedding celebration, Vaikasi Brahmotsava, Acharya Sri Ramanuja Vizha, Krishna Jayanthi, and Masi Magam. Daily cow worship is performed before the Lord's shrine.
