Located in Kallisseri within Chengannur taluk of Alappuzha district, Kerala, this temple sits along the sacred Pamba River and is governed by an elected committee representing four surrounding karas: Umayattu Kara, Mepram, Mazhukkeer, and Thaimaravum Kara. The principal deity is Bhadrakali, whose wooden idol features four arms and is seated upon a vethalam. The temple also honors sub-deities including Karimkali, Yakshiamma, Rakshassu, and Naga Devatas. Regular rituals include Chanthattam, Archana, Pushpanjali, Ganapathy Homam, Sahasra Namarchana, Muzhukappu, and Payasam offerings. The eight-day Padayani festival occurs annually during the Malayalam month of Kumbham (February–March), spanning from Uthradam Star day to Aswathy Star day, featuring elaborate Kolams such as Bhairavi Kolam, Kalan Kolam, Sundara Yakshi, and Ambara Yakshi crafted on areca palm sheaths with natural dyes. Additional festivals celebrated include Kumbha Bharani, Meena Bharani, Shivaratri, Navaratri, and Thirukkarthika.
