About Gujarati Temple

Parmarth Niketan, whose name means 'An Abode Dedicated to the Welfare of All,' is a major spiritual haven nestled in the Himalayan foothills on the sacred banks of the Ganges River. As the largest ashram in Rishikesh, it welcomes pilgrims from all corners of the globe without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religion, caste, or creed. The ashram is particularly celebrated for its world-renowned sunset Ganga Aarti and Yagna ceremony, which draws between hundreds and thousands of visitors each evening in an atmosphere of prayer, gratitude, and devotion to Mother Ganga. Beyond the evening aarti, Parmarth Niketan hosts numerous daily spiritual activities including prayers, sanskara ceremonies, yoga classes, and meditation courses throughout the year, including the internationally recognized annual International Yoga Festival. The ashram maintains clean, pure, and sacred grounds with abundant beautiful gardens, and its charitable activities and divine projects extend services to all without distinction.
