Parmarth Niketan, meaning 'An Abode Dedicated to the Welfare of All,' is a spiritual haven nestled in the lap of the Himalayas on the sacred banks of Mother Ganga in Swargashram, Rishikesh. As the largest ashram in the city, it provides thousands of pilgrims from across the globe with a clean, pure, and sacred atmosphere complemented by abundant beautiful gardens. The ashram is dedicated to Lord Shiva worship and hosts numerous daily spiritual activities including prayers, sanskara ceremonies, yoga classes, and the world-renowned evening Ganga Aarti. Under the spiritual leadership of H.H. Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, whose motto is 'In the Service of God and humanity,' Parmarth Niketan operates with no discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religion, caste, or creed. The ashram conducts charitable activities and services for the welfare of all, hosts the annual International Yoga Festival, and performs special pujas during festival days.
