Chakkulathukavu Sree Bhagavathy Temple stands as one of Kerala's most celebrated temples, situated in the serene locale of Neerettupuram within Thalavady Panchayat. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga, known locally as Chakkulathamma, who is believed to possess the divine power to respond to the sincere calls of her devotees. The temple's spiritual significance is rooted in the legend of Sumbha and Nishumbha from the Devi Mahatmyam, wherein the goddess emerged to vanquish demons and restore cosmic balance.
