About Siddhivinayak Temple, Siddhatek

Perched atop a modest hillock in Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra, the Siddhivinayak Temple of Siddhatek holds the distinction of being the third among the revered Ashtavinayaka—eight self-manifested shrines of Ganesha across the state. The temple's most remarkable feature is its Ganesha idol, whose trunk curves toward the right, an exceptionally rare posture that signifies the deity's vigilant and powerful nature, demanding sincere and earnest devotion from worshippers. The approach to the shrine winds through natural greenery interspersed with thorny vegetation, creating a journey that symbolizes earthly struggles leading to divine grace. Devotees traditionally circumambulate the hillock seven times to receive the deepest blessings from the deity.
