Pariyur Kondathu Kaliamman

Pariyur holds a long-standing place in the religious landscape of Kongu Nadu. Local temple tradition connects the village with the name of the celebrated Tamil patron-king Pari, while older references also associate the area with the names Azhagapuri and Parapuri. Margazhi Kundam and Festival Observances

The Margazhi Kundam festival represents the most important celebration at the temple, held during the Margazhi month and drawing devotees seeking the Kundam experience and the annual festival atmosphere. The temple also observes an annual car festival, and special worship days including Aadi Fridays, Thai Fridays, Tuesdays, and Fridays throughout the year. These occasions bring the community together and preserve collective devotional practices that have shaped the religious identity of the region.
