Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is one of twelve sacred Shiva shrines located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, situated on the banks of the Shipra river. The presiding deity is Shiva in lingam form, believed to be self-manifested and deriving power from within itself. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
