About the temple
Chowalloor Siva Temple is an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva located approximately three kilometers east of Guruvayoor in Thrissur District, Kerala. According to tradition, sage Parashurama installed the deity, and the temple is recognized as one of Kerala's 108 celebrated Shiva temples. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
