Located on the outskirts of Vrindavan in Mathura district, Akshaya Patra Temple stands as a semi-spherical structure designed to resemble a blooming lotus, with a domed roof rising approximately 25 feet. The temple was constructed to honor Maharaj Radha Chandra Swami, an American-born devotee who dedicated his life to spreading awareness of Lord Krishna. The main hall features a golden Mandapa housing white stone statues of Radha and Krishna on the first floor, accessible via staircases, with intricate carvings of Garuda and Hanuman adorning the doors. Beyond its spiritual significance, the temple is distinguished by the large kitchen facility operated by the Akshaya Patra Foundation, which prepares and distributes nutritious meals to nearby school children. The temple celebrates major festivals including Janmashtami, Radhashtami, Diwali, and Holi with elaborate decorations, offerings, and devotional music.
