Sydney Durga Temple
About Sydney Durga Temple
Located at 21 Rose Crescent in Regents Park, New South Wales, the Sydney Shri Durga Temple is operated by the Sri Durgadevi Devasthanam, a non-profit religious organisation registered in 2002. The temple honours three principal deities—Goddess Durga, Goddess Lakshmi, and Goddess Saraswati—and marked a significant milestone with its first Maha Kumbabhishekam consecration ceremony on 7 May 2017. The temple complex was developed in stages beginning with a temporary prayer hall completed in October 2006, followed by an educational and cultural hall. Daily worship services are conducted four times throughout the day, and the temple hosts regular abhishekams, homams, and special rituals. The annual festival, known as Alangara Utsavum, takes place in February-March and spans ten days, concluding with the auspicious Masi Maham Theertham celebration.
