St. John's Hindu Temple
About St. John's Hindu Temple
The St. John's Hindu Temple was founded in 1975 by members of the Hindu community in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador. The temple received a marble statue of Krishna donated by Swami Chinmayananda, which was subsequently installed by Swami Dayananda. Initially operating as an independent organization under the name Chinmaya Mission St. John's, the temple has become an important spiritual and cultural center for Hindu devotees in the region. Located at 26 Penney Lane in St. John's, the temple maintains an active presence through community events, religious observances, and cultural programs.
